Online therapy by video for adults in Ohio. The same individual counseling, from a private space you choose, when coming to Kettering is not the right fit.
Telehealth here is a scheduled video session with me, not a chat bot and not a crisis line. We meet at the appointment time. You log in from a room where you can speak freely. I am still Lori Overholser, MA, LPC. The work is still individual counseling: assessments, longer-term work, or a tighter solution-focused stretch when that is what you need.
Ohio licensure is the frame. You need to be physically in Ohio for the session. If you are traveling, we reschedule or we wait until you are back. This is not text therapy around the clock, and it is not a substitute for 988 if you are in danger.
In-person counseling at the Kettering office stays available. Outdoor hiking sessions stay available when they fit. Call to say whether you want the chair, the trail, or a video visit, and we will book what matches.
What you need on your side
A private room, a stable internet connection, and a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone. I will send the video link when we book. If the connection fails, we finish by phone that hour rather than leaving you mid-sentence.

Do I have to be in Ohio for telehealth?
Yes. I am licensed in Ohio. You need to be in Ohio at the time of the video session.
Is online therapy the same as coming to the office?
It is the same counselor and the same kind of individual work. The room is yours instead of the Kettering office. Some people prefer the office. Some people need video. We can use either.
What if I still want in-person sessions?
